This turned out to be a fantastic faucet with a bug. We chose one of these for the living/dining room sink and it looks great. The button to switch to spray isn't blocked, so you have to hold it down (although we knew about it, so it wasn't a problem). So far everyone has only said positive things about him. The only downside is that the head screws onto the hose. You experience what I'm talking about during installation when you need to temporarily remove it to flush out loose particles in the line before using the head. It unscrews from the hose connector that is inserted into the throat, exposing the plastic threads. There is no rubber seal or anything like that. We saw an online YouTube video of this issue before we bought it, so we kept that in mind as a just in case scenario. The problem is that it can leak in these threads. Of course, when we finished installing the faucet, it was really dripping and even splashing a bit from where the head connected to the hose. No matter how you tighten it, there was a leak. However, the solution was simple. The YouTube videos of this event only complained about it but didn't try to do anything about it. All we did was put a good coat of plumbing/caulking tape on the head threads. This solved the leak/splash problem and the sink was ready to use. We're all techies here, so plumbing isn't our forte, but we still knew how to handle it. Sometimes we can show a high level of OCD when it comes to alien projects like this, making sure every variable is properly dressed. Plumbing tape should be something everyone should have on hand when it comes to anything water related. You should always apply it to all threading scenarios to combat leaks. However, a consumer-added fix isn't considered a perfect ending, as there shouldn't be a leak to begin with. We deducted a star for this reason as it should have worked right away based on the items that came with the faucet. If Kraus has a leakage problem, they should at least put a small ring of tape on their products to cover the problem. Plus it's an awesome looking faucet. It looks great, sprays great in both modes and adds to the aesthetics of the installed environment. ** If you found our review helpful, please rate it below so we know.
