The socket next to my bed currently powers a lamp, humidifier and USB chargers for my phone and tablet. I used an extension cord to fit everything and many more people. This handy little box has two grounded outlets, four ungrounded outlets and three USB ports - more than enough. I can also wear it on vacation as in some places there is only one outlet for two. There is always a risk of overloading when using extension cords or extension cords. I'd be wary of fully charging 110V AC outlets, especially with high-current devices like hair dryers, but USB outlets are rated for a maximum total output of 15W, meaning that even if all three are used, the maximum output from the wall power drawn will be less than 200 milliamps - no need to worry. If it had a built in circuit breaker to protect against over current draw it would be a five star unit but I think it would have to cost twice as much.
