Review on πŸ›οΈ Waterproof Mattress Protector by Red Nomad – Soft Bamboo Cover for Twin Size Bed – 5-Sided Bed Cover by Deanna Belanger

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent mattress cover. . . but don't let the word "bamboo " fool you.

I find it ridiculous to use the word "bamboo" in fabrics. In fact, bamboo can be used as a component of viscose. . . but. . .It requires a lot of chemical processing. It's like turning a tree into carbon paper. Yes. . . Carbon paper is made from trees. . .but. . . it requires a lot of processing. Here is the actual composition of this mattress topper: Top: 60% Polyester and 40% Bamboo Viscose (Viscose) Bottom: 100% Polyurethane Skirt: 100% Polyester Top feels comfortable, soft. But there really isn't much padding. If you are looking for a mattress topper. . . It's not like this. This is a waterproof mattress pad. I do not show where this mattress topper is made. . . Which usually means China or Vietnam. Oddly enough, it's sold by a UK based company. At the current price of $27, that's at least double what it should be. There are other similar options that are much cheaper.

Pros
  • Something above
Cons
  • Very expensive
