My company recently replaced my aging Dell laptop with an HP 840 and I needed to (quickly) upgrade my home office to accommodate the new system. I chose this "new" system over the restored one because it should work from day one. The docking station and power supply were delivered promptly in the original box and packaging. There were no instructions or other printed materials in the box, but the power supply and docking station were properly protected with bubble wrap. Setup was quick and uneventful apart from a few minutes of my own frustration when there appeared to be no power. I accidentally tried to insert the power supply into a hole that seemed to fit a plug, but it turned out to be a cable lock port. Once I found a real (tiny) AC plug that fit into the tip of the adapter, all was good. It's my fault for not taking the time to examine the back more closely, but damn, a simple guide showing all the ports, connectors, and cable slots would be nice. Not 5 stars for the product itself but buyers should beware if they are new to these particular ultra slim docks.
