Review on Avid Elixir Caliper Piston Kit: Boost Performance & Precision by Mike Johnston

I love that this kit comes with new pistons. Brakes are like new with new seals and pistons. You can find good guides online to guide you through this process. This is for my Avid Elixir R brake. Reconditioning is a bit of a hassle, but a lot cheaper than buying a new brake or taking it to a bike shop! I had a sticky butt. Not sure if it was new gaskets or a new piston, but it's back in good condition nonetheless. I would recommend replacing both seals and pistons during a major overhaul (some kits only include o-rings).
