I think this is a product from the past when silver owners had many servants who could patiently spend hours with fine filigree work removing plaque from barely tarnished bowls. It worked (with my silver Hagerty) but very, very slowly. This would probably be best for very lightly tarnished pieces, to preserve that soft, historic candlelight look that makes sterling silver so beautiful. Paintbrushes are a tedious and ineffective tool when you have dark patinas. A microfiber cloth with plaque remover works much better - much faster and nicer, but unfortunately cleans cool, shiny, new rather than pretty, golden. seem to be.
