Why this device. WiFi is the key that allows me to control my playlist, volume etc from my phone using the 4stream app. Now I can listen to music in my garden and have complete control. I am using a DNLA music connection on my NAS. It reads all music formats I've tried. It can take a second to connect after my phone goes to sleep, but waking up is very consistent. I connected the DAC and flash drive via USB connection and after reading all the music it started playing. I haven't used Spotify or Pandora yet. I have Up2stream Pro v2 and Up2stream AMP v3. Both devices can sync and play the same song without lag, or I can play different songs in different rooms. All in all a great little device that fits my needs perfectly for a fraction of the cost of installing SONOS.
