I built my daughter a wireless speaker box using this board, amplifier board and power supply. The Android app works quite well. I've been playing music for a few hours with the built in box with no problems. I am very happy. The company also sells a version of the board without Ethernet and Bluetooth for just $30. However, this is only available on the company's website. This one is worth a lot with the addition of Ethernet and Bluetooth.

Updated version includes bluetooth so all media streaming sources are supported. I'm still changing the layout to match my original design, but when I play it "naked" it becomes its own server and connects to playlists directly after being controlled by the mobile app. Turn off the phone, close the app and the playlist will resume directly from the source, e.g. B. iHeart, Spotify etc. Very happy with the performance. I just wish there were more streaming sources like Pandora.

This amplifier board is really worth buying. The 4Stream app works very well on iPhone and almost as well on Android. I bought this mainly for airplay support and it works fine. The sound quality is amazing but you have to give it very clean power. Two complaints: I wish it had a filter for noise current, and I wish the IR receiver was wired and not soldered to the board. Why this device. WiFi is the key that allows me to control my playlist, volume etc from my phone using the 4stream app. Now I can listen to music in my garden and have complete control. I am using a DNLA music connection on my NAS. It reads all music formats I've tried. It can take a second to connect after my phone goes to sleep, but waking up is very consistent. I bought the Up2Stream Pro to experiment with connecting a non-networked stereo to Spotify. I connected a 5V mini USB for power and used a 3.5 RCA cable to stream audio from the Up2Stream to my stereo.
