Installed on my Grand Cherokee 93 (v8). I'm pretty good at installing things without a manual, but I had to go back and forth a lot - it was hard to tell what they were trying to do. On more than one occasion the parts diagram has been more helpful than the actual installation instructions. My main target at the moment is the part that attaches to the throttle body. This is a plastic hole with a metal part inside. It's hard to describe, but it looks like (guessing here) that the plastic was molded with a lip of sorts on the inside so that a metal ring could be inserted (during manufacture) and hooked onto that lip. This lip is NOT particularly thick/strong. I found that when attaching to the throttle body, the bolt protruded so little that I had to press down on the top of the air intake fairly hard to get the bolts protruding through the rubber and metal washer with enough force. Thread for mounting screws. I took it off thinking I did something wrong and found that the plastic holding this metal ring broke in several places when trying to tighten it. with the mounting screws and grommet in place, making sure there is enough thread through the washers to bolt them on. If you are *not* you might want to use something else instead of the rubber spacer as it is quite thick. You might be able to shave it off, but you'll likely spend less time running to the hardware store and cutting a new one out of something thinner. Also, the instructions suggested cutting out the fender. Either mine disappeared from the previous owner or it doesn't exist. I wouldn't spend too much time thinking about it. Finally, the metal "box" comes with a rubber grommet - there are only two screws holding the box in place, and those are the threaded studs with a bunch of rubber in the middle. This means that there is enough play in the box. There is enough (for me at least) excess on the strip to wrap around parts of the box that might come into contact with the chassis. Mine seemed loose enough and probably would have rattled if I hadn't. The instructions could be a bit clearer on some things.
