I bought 8GB for my 2010 MacBookPro which had 4GB installed. To install, you need to turn off the MacBook, turn the MacBook upside down, and remove about a dozen very small screws. Note that 4 of them are longer than the others. After the screws are removed, remove the back cover, you will see the memory, slide the 2 latches up and remove the old memory, insert the new memory, make sure it is in place, slide the 2 latches down. Put the cover on and replace the screws. Turn your Mac over and turn it on, take a second to register new memory, and then watch your MacBooKPro Lion fly. incredible upgrade worth dollars.
