Review on 💻 RA02B Black Rackmount Ear Kit by Silverstone Tek for Enhanced HTPC/Desktop Case Optimization by Wilbert Luoma

I bought this knob set to use on my Silverstone GD08 HTPC case (glossy case IMO). I researched this case to use as the base for an audio workstation and everything in my build fitted perfectly. Until I tried to line up the mounting holes on these grips with my equipment rack. The rack mount holes are about 2-3mm longer than my rack mount holes. I mean specifically the space between the top and bottom holes. When the handle is placed over a rack space, the top hole is aligned, but the bottom hole covers more than half of the rack hole. There just isn't room for a mounting screw. I've read other reviews that said they fit but gave no indication of the type of rack used. My research led me to the conclusion that server rack specs and AV rack rail specs conform to the same standards, so I figured this would be the ideal solution for placing my workstation on the same mount as my other sound system. Unfortunately my research seems to have been wrong or that these knobs were not designed for AV racks. I plan on contacting Silverstone Support for clarification and options, but right now I have a huge 4U case sitting awkwardly on my desk. until I find a solution. GD08 is a great case. These pens, on the other hand, do not live up to what I understood for their use. I plan to update this review based on what I hear from the support team. Please feel free to comment if you know the pose differences I've missed, which might help explain my misunderstanding here!
