I use them for everything from storing large loaves of bread to storing corn on the cob in the microwave to storing sweaters and starter seeds. They are big and so versatile. They're much better for steaming and microwaving than ziplock bags because their seams can withstand higher temperatures. Artisanal bread rarely fits in a zipper, but a sweater never does. I also store yarn in it. I can also put a painter's shirt and roller in it and keep it in the fridge overnight. Place it on a flower pot or egg carton with seeds or seedlings in a sunny window and it will become a temporary greenhouse. The size is very helpful. I am addicted
