Below average stability (according to a very popular user testing website) Rating range (95th-5th percentile) for WD Blue 1TB is 57.4% on average (fastest mechanical drives - 100%). This is a relatively large range, indicating that the WD Blue 1TB is unstable under various real-world conditions. I've had good experiences with WD drives in the past and haven't had a single failure. However, I take good care of my equipment. This prompted me to purchase 2 of these drives; Both run with firmware ver. 01.01A01. They both look exactly the same, with manufacturer dates only a few months apart. The problem is that one of them doesn't get along with the other. Afterbirth. Good level read/write easily hits 120MB/s (down 2 or 3MB) on each test, I've had different luck when the benchmark read/write hits 80MB/s. At first I was concerned about the mismatch and did everything I could to fix it, new drivers, search for new firmware, messing around with AHCI/RAID settings etc in the BIOS, messing around with write cache settings in Device Manager, all without Success. Come and see what is typical of WD Blue drives. So guys what I'm saying is if you're unlucky you're more likely to sing the blues if you buy this CD, pun intended. If you decide to pull the trigger, all I have to say is GOOD LUCK!
