Pretty easy to use. I wanted to wait until we had some very cold temps up here (Maine) before leaving a review. It has been down to close to 0 degrees for a few nights. I really think my best review would be after my first entire winter season with this. But I would probably forget to review it.I guess I can always update. I take this stuff seriously, because frozen pipes in time for Christmas would be a buzz kill for anybody. However, so far, so good. I am sure it’s been cold enough that I would be having problems by now. Water is running and draining as it should, and I don’t regret this purchase.This type of product usually won’t last forever, but quality heating cable should last several years. These feel high quality. And very easy to use, with a reassuring light telling you it is taking in power. I think this is well worth considering.UPDATE 3/13/2019: Decided why not update my experience now that we have survived another winter. Don’t worry, more are coming. The great news is I had absolutely no freeze ups, and this product worked as hoped. I would not hesitate for a minute to buy another one when needed. Just wanted to let anybody interested in this product to know that in my experience, it is worth it.
