I bought these for scheduled maintenance in my 2004 Dodge 4.7l. These motors really do prefer copper connectors and so should you. Don't believe the ads for insanely expensive candles. Other metals last longer than copper but generate more heat and less power. Especially with these connectors, Champion seems to be the standard among copper connectors. I never trust pre-gap plugs, but after testing they all came to an average gap of 0.042. None of them failed. After a few hundred kilometers it runs smoothly and without any problems. Gas mileage even increased by 1 or 2 mpg.
