I'm not a professional skater, I took figure skating lessons when I was younger but have since stopped, but I still skate quite often for fun. It was often cheaper to buy your own pair of skates than to rent skates whenever you went ice skating. When my old skates broke I did a little research and found these skates. You are really good! The blades (mine at least) aren't sharpened, but that's an easy fix. The boot itself is stiff, has good ankle support and is quite comfortable. The only thing I doubted was buying ice skates online. I was confused by the sizing chart but looking at some of the reviews helped. It really is 1-1 1/2 sizes smaller than your street shoes. For those who need help: I wear size 7 1/2 women's shoes and have size 6 1/2 skates and they fit perfectly.
