A wide-necked jug with a faucet is great!
The wide opening makes clean-up painless and the tap allows for quick and easy dispensing. They're transparent like glass, so you can see everything that's going on there (keep them out of sunlight). Plus, the faucet means you can quickly try to check your progress without opening the jar. It's a gallon in size and the kit that comes with it is basic. For me, liter sets are more practical, 6 or 7 bottles are enough for one portion. And no heavy lifting (5 gallons = 40 pounds).
