This is a decent storage container. I don't see heavy use as they're mainly for storing small items and they do well for that. I can't comment on long-term durability but they're strong enough to withstand. Given that the hinges are molded from the container itself, that would be the first thing to fail, however I assume that other containers have the same design. These are just small loops on each side and would be much stronger if the loop spanned the full width of the bin. I would recommend that you look closely at the dimensions. I ordered a medium size and although I checked the measurements, it runs a bit small. I would call it small, not medium. This is fine for a pencil case or for smaller items like USB sticks, AA or AAA batteries, maybe spools of thread or jewelry storage. I will buy some large containers because I keep them small and filled them up quickly and have three of them on my desk although I would have preferred a larger container.
