I just gutted my kitchen and the original oak floors were covered with tar paper, 1/4" plywood and then carpet, which of course, all had to be removed part of the bottom was covered with a strange green felt that was glued on. I was able to steam the roofing material and remove the felt, but the remnants of resin and glue remained on the tree. I tried desperately to remove the resin. The label on this product said it would remove tar and glue and that it worked on wood so I was very hopeful.I ended up using vinegar and hot water and finally got it off.The rest of the resin turned into an oily mass 2 hours total think it just needs more time I only sprayed an area about 6ft x 18" or so on towels to e easy to remove a thin layer. The resin is still there. I think if you just wanted to get some random tar splatters off your car that might work just fine, but I'm hoping I can save someone out there from the hours of absolute horror I went through trying to cover my oak floors get in the back. If you're trying to remove tar or glue residue from your floor, don't waste your money on this product. money down the drain. I would put zero if I could.
