Review on πŸ“± Fluval A3976 LED Controller with WiFi Connectivity by Angie Christensen

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Avoid, seriously. RUN.

Nonsense, plain and simple. The module during "WiFi" cannot support the WiFi signal to any of the phones in my house. In theory, this element sounds good, but not so much in practice. It's not a WiFi-enabled box, it's its own router that broadcasts its own network SSID. This transmission is of such poor quality that even standing next to the device never shows more than 4 out of 5 bars will start from the beginning (login again), and in many cases you will have to completely disconnect from the network just to reconnect and try again. or another channel with everything but blue, but you can't control both at the same time (no blue or single color settings). The controls are visible on the lid of the box, however the graphic below (shown in the image) is not directly adjustable, just a representation of the 4 "time zones" above. If your light source is dual channel (white or blue with one button), you can control each channel in its own list of time zones. Of these 4 time zones, only 3 can be configured per channel; Sunrise, Lag and Sunset. The night is listed automatically and depending on sunset and sunrise, but you cannot control the light during this "remaining time" and the light is off. There is an automatic mode or a 24-hour preset mode. I found this dimmed the lights and started dimming too early for my liking (50% by 4:30pm). I wasn't able to test this setting further because once selected I couldn't reconnect to the device over Wi-Fi to change it. After playing with it for 2 hours I put it in a box and went to her to leave a review and arrange a return for a refund. The block and connectors feel cheap and don't screw in tight, so I doubt it's waterproof. Seal requires O-rings. The unit gets HOT, about as hot as the 24V power supply itself. In short, PRO 2.0 is not "Pro" nor what I would call 2.0. I hate thinking about what 1.0 was like. For the $70 they want I would recommend the lamp timer and just switch to the blue LED whenever you want and remember to turn it back on before turning it off or after turning it back on the next day. Flual I would suggest anyone who has written a negative review of the free 3.0 suggest if/if it is done, after purchasing the light I feel cheated on both as other models have built in timers that go from white to Toggle blue and off. Since this block is 1/2 of the entire set, its loss of light deprives it itself. I'm unlikely to use Fuval products in the future. my first and last.
