No photographic slang is used in this review. I'm definitely a hobbyist and just want to be able to take nice sharp pictures and I needed a lens that works well in low light and produces some pretty blurry backgrounds. It does the job! It's a pretty crude camera mount compared to my Nikon branded lenses that originally came with my camera, but at this price point I don't mind. It fits perfectly and is not difficult to use at all. I immediately tried it on a vase of faux flowers in the foyer with no lights on, just daylight on a cloudy day. The photos are nice and bright. It looked better than live. Can't wait to use this to photograph my 9 month old daughter for the rest of her milestones and our next baby on the way! This will save me a lot of professional photos. Recommended for anyone who is not an absolute photography guru. I wasn't sure if I would regret not going for 1.4 instead of 1.8, but this does everything I hoped it would. Very happy!
