I'm an old American Baldwin Brass all metal lever but I don't have the budget for this project. Tried this Kain Euro Lever and the Modernus Lever also sold on this site. This pen is much smaller. The Modernus tube is 5.25 inches long and 0.75 inches in diameter. while this Cain measures 4.75" x 0.56" in diameter. Kain, which is currently almost half the price, was my choice as it's a smaller device with tighter spaces and portals. There are comments about installation problems here. I'm not a full-time door installer, I've invested a few hundred in my time and this device did the job. The first time the levers were misaligned, they brought the hot spring to the horizontal position every time. All it took was loosening the screws and everything was lined up correctly. Each subsequent block was dead the first time, no problem. They are MUCH cheaper than real metal than the hollow stamped things you sell in the store. I would be proud to use them for any project.
