Totally mismatched and very unstable

I was so happy to get this for my elderly mother until I tried to assemble it. The screws are too long for the handrail, so the bolts don't fit snugly in the top half of the handrail, making the entire handrail very unstable and dangerous. Then the bottom half doesn't line up with the holes on the chair legs, making it literally impossible to assemble. I wouldn't buy it if I knew about these issues and it's just impossible to fix no matter what. Unfortunately, this is not a safe or stable ladder for everyone.
