I have worked with polymer clay for 18 years and have tried every tool available to make the job easier. The extruder is an amazing tool that you can use to create shapes out of clay. The only downside to using an extruder is that it's difficult to use, as you have to hold the extruder with one hand and feed the clay with the other. Sometimes it gets a little difficult. Lucy Clay Tools has created the perfect solution to this problem with the LC Vise. The LC Vise is the third hand that you can use the extruder in. This frees your hand from having to hold the extruder and you can use your hands to feed the clay and catch the shapes as they come out the other side. The vise is a 4-piece tool. Two of those parts are a pair of powerful magnets that stick to your work surface, and the other two parts are the vise body, which has another pair of magnets. These magnets combine to form a stable work station for your extruder. Vices make your work much easier. I absolutely love it and recommend it to anyone working with polymer clay.
