I needed a long neck lighter to light candles as I was constantly getting burned with standard sized BIC type disposable lighters, especially as most of my candles were running out and the wicks sunk deep into the jars. I was just going to order the long neck BIC disposable butane lighter but decided to try one of these electric lighters. After reading reviews of about 3-4 options I decided on this one and I liked this type of lighter instead of BIC lighters. This is my first time using an electric lighter. A few things I like about this particular one: 1. It has a metal ring on the end if you want to hang it, but it snaps back into place to be flush with the end of the lighter and doesn't hang out when you use it do I don't want to use the ring2. It comes with a plastic cap that fits snugly over the top electrical part when not in use, preventing any ash or black material left on the tip from being rubbed off in storage3. When you lift the security lock to use it, the blue dots will light up depending on the charge level. These blue charge indicators also remind you to replace the fuse after use. (When you slide back the safety lock, the blue light will go out) 4. The neck is flexible but still very strong and will not dangle. Comes with a universal in/out charging cable - I have 3 other cables with the same outlet at home and they all fit this lighter6. It also comes with a mini brush - not sure what it's for - maybe to brush off any excess ash or soot off the tip of the lighter after use? Mine arrived fully charged, I've used it about 10 times in the last week. and it still shows as fully charged i.e. 5 blue lights. Definitely recommend! Love that it's reusable/rechargeable instead of throwing away plastic disposables when they run out - helps save the planet from more waste! Definitely worth the extra $5 for a long neck butane lighter.
