I had purchased an older model vantrue dashcam that I’ve had for a few years and loved it. I wanted to upgrade to a model with wifi and a rear camera. Let me tell you vantrue is brand to get for dashcams. I bought a couple another brands for my parents and they were both awful. This dash camera works flawlessly and has a amazing video quality. They use high quality camera chipsets and you can tell. Even at night you get a good picture. The infrared night vision is also nice. The real test with a dash cam is if you can make out the license plates and with this dash cam they are crystal clear. The wifi and software also work great. It is so much more convenient downloading the footage to your phone than having to find a computer and download it off an sd card. If your in an accident you want to have access to the footage right away and be able to send it to your insurance or the authorities, their software allows you to do that. The installation was easy and straight forward. The touch screen is intuitive and easy to navigate and provides a great view of all 3 cameras. You can also select to view a single camera and choose which camera is displayed where on the screen. Their customer support is top notch, when I had an issue (that was my fault) I contacted them and they worked it out right away. The parking mode is great it allows you to monitor your car when it’s parked. There are four modes: collision detection, motion detection, low bitrate rate and low frame rate. low bitrate or low frame rate mode keeps recording continuously, collision detection automatically initiate recording when triggered by a collision event. Motion detection auto record once the motion is detected. I recommend purchasing the ODB hardwire kit. It allows you to hardwire the dashcam so it has power even when the car is off. It’s super easy to install all you have to do is plug it into your ODB port and your all set. This allows you to use the parking feature without having to mess with your cars wiring. One thing I suggest is that you update the firmware to the latest version when you get the dash cam so you have the best software available (its an easy process). Overall a great 3 camera wifi dash cam. Would definitely highly recommend.
