This camera seems to have taken on a new meaning. You can see all the things you couldn't see before, it's amazing! After a few minutes you can see heat marks on the carpet. You may see heat leaks in your home's insulation. You can see where the water is evaporating because it's cooler there, so you can find wet spots right away. You can see which circuit breakers are running hot and are therefore most likely to trip. You can see how hot the hot end of your 3D printer gets. You can cook chicken and see the temperature while cooking. The list goes on! This is a wonderful car. The only minor downside is that the camera sometimes needs to refocus the autofocus (which can't be turned off), and when it does the display freezes for about half a second. It's very rare for this to happen in a loop where the display keeps freezing for half a second every 3 seconds, sort of like a stutter and it's annoying. However, this usually only happens when the subject is too close to the camera and the camera cannot focus on it. But 95% of the time it's not a problem, so it doesn't matter. I also love all the color palettes that make it easier to visualize the temperature in different contexts. If you're looking for hot spots in a cold place, it's best to use a maximum contrast palette, but if you're looking for subtle differences, it's best to use a different display color palette with more colors. Charge times are good, I can probably get 5 hours of full use before needing a recharge. Fast charging with standard USB cable connectors. Another disadvantage is that he cannot see through glass or anything transparent. This is more of a physics limitation than the camera itself, but it surprised me nonetheless. He sees windows as mirrors. So you can't direct it through windows or anything, you only see yourself in the reflection and nothing else. Some shiny metals also act as mirrors for the camera, so you can't see the temperature of those things directly, only what's reflected in them. Another small issue, not a deal killer, but that surprised me. All in all a great car that still feels futuristic even though I've had it for a few months now! Very impressive.
