These gel pads work as advertised. They will definitely pad your handlebars and are easy to install when you rewind the handlebars. Here are the caveats: You add a little weight to your bike. It's only a few ounces, but it's heavier than the band itself. If weight is more important to you than comfort, stay away. Also, hand numbness (which I sometimes experience on long rides) is often the result of improper bike setup, not handlebar softness. At the same time, I really like the feeling of the softness of the steering wheel. If I change my setting, it's easy to remove it the next time I change the beat. There is no glue (they are just inherently sticky) and leave no residue when removed. Good product!
