Bad connection on the laptop. The rest works fine.
The adapter powers my laptop, but the connection is not very good where it connects to the laptop. Due to a loose connection, it fell out several times when I moved slightly. My battery died, so my computer turned off while I was working, which isn't ideal. I have a Samsung laptop.
