I like the water bottle’s carrying handle. It is shaped so that it conforms to the bottles sides when not in use. The wide mouth makes it easier to clean.To test if the water bottle would leak, I filled it up and turned it upside down inside another container. I came back an hour later. First fill your insulated water bottle with really hot water. Close the lid and let it sit there for five or ten minutes. Doing this will warm up the steel water bottle itself. Next empty out the hot water and put in your desired hot liquid. This way your tea won’t loose heat to warm up the steel bottle.)Being made out of metal it is more vulnerable to being dented. Most climbing locations are rocky and I usually have a lot of gear, so I need to set the water bottle carefully so that it doesn’t go tumbling down slope. In that regard, plastic water bottles flex and scratch but do not get dents.Be sure to tighten the lid until you feel resistance because otherwise it might look closed but it won’t be sealed.
