I removed the latex paint from some of the shorter boards as shown in the first three pictures. I then removed a few layers of old paint and varnish (?) from the floorboards, antique restored (the last photo shows a test and an untouched area). Use safe methods when old paint is present! But the beauty is that this material makes the paint sticky and unlike sanding you don't spray dust everywhere. As other users have said - SOAP THIS WITH YOUR SHINE! LEAVE IT AND COVER WITH PE SHEET FOR 24 HOURS! If you use enough and cover with plastic to keep it moist and wait long enough, it will come off like butter. NO SMELL, it was perfect! I'd love to be able to peel the paint all over my Victorian home!
