Review on πŸ’ͺ Enhance Shaving Performance with Philips Norelco Series 9000 SH90/62 Replacement Shaver Head by Erin Riley

What happened to the impeccable design and manufacture of Norelco in the Netherlands?

My first razor in 1965 when I was 13 was a Norelco. Over the years I have switched to more expensive Norelco models as I have not found anything that has worked as well. In 2005 I switched to an Architec shaver with TrippleTrac heads, which I believe represents the pinnacle of shaving technology and performance. After many years of service I decided to treat myself to a 9300 with a cleaning stand. I am very happy with this product and have replaced heads twice with continued satisfaction. These heads had gray plastic moldings that fit into the razor's rotary drive. The next change of heads was terrible. They produced bad shaves and wobbled like worn heads. At first I thought it was a "fake" Norelco brand. They could be easily identified by the green molded plastic propulsion base. I even examined the blades and heads under the microscope. They were rougher moldings than the original. After several returns to Revain and a lengthy call to Norelco customer service, I concluded that Norelco had "cheaped" the design by going from SH9052 (grey plastic) to SH9062 (green plastic) and ended up replacing an inferior assembly. . My old razor with worn TrippleTrac heads really shaves better! It's a sad tale for a company that has always offered impeccably designed, precisely manufactured, and high quality products; a step above the competition.
