Worked great for about a year; I've never been able to use a half-flush to flush a small amount of toilet paper, but was pleased with the easy installation. I've traded with broken knobs in the past and found that getting the knob and float to sync properly with the throttle was a nightmare. So I liked a system with no dampers - until about 2am. When I woke up I was shocked that I had dreamed of someone doing laundry. It sounded so real, I thought, a sudden gush of water. Then around 5am the same noise. I wondered if my child was playing with the toilet. No, he was fast asleep. So I studied the reviews and concluded that like many other Hydroright buyers, I had a zipper malfunction. Were the three zip ties missing the zip ties which must have dissolved and washed into the tank? The third broke in my hand while examining it. I replaced them with heavier zip ties, which may not have been the best alternative as they seem to twist one side of the plastic clip they attach to. I hope this is an inexpensive solution. How long the purge phantom will be kept in check remains to be seen. UPDATE: Repairing the screed didn't fix the accidental leak and refilling the tank, and I reinstalled the flush valve when I redid the screed. 24 hours later still no response from Danco so I ordered a smarter flush kit and this will be my last experiment in converting to dual flush.
