I ordered this starter to replace the one that came factory on my truck. I decided it needed replacing after the truck would not start after several hours of inactivity. At first I thought it was the battery, but after the problem persisted after changing the battery, I figured the starter motor was the source of my problem. I think the contacts must have gone bad. There are "recovery" kits out there, but if you want to dig it up, you might as well replace it. From the outside this appetizer seemed well assembled, I didn't take it apart to see the inside. Sometimes installation was a headache, but that obviously didn't affect the product itself. I've had this starter on my truck for a little over two years, no problems. This starter fits several different cars so don't expect detailed instructions for your application but I'm sure you can find a video or post somewhere to help you understand what you've ever done. I recommend this to anyone who needs a starter replacement as I haven't had any issues since installing it.
