First of all. There should be two buttons to turn on charging or fans. There is only one button that activates both. If I charge the controllers I probably don't need the fans since the machine is most likely powered off. Second. Fans are very weak. I hardly feel any air movement when I put my hand directly on the fans. This leads me to believe that the PS4 has extremely minimal cooling. Basically it's just a waste of power to power the fans while charging them at the same time. It is a good storage accessory for PS4, motion controller, a PS4 controller and a VR headset. I would buy without a fan. Fans are so underpowered that they don't make much of a difference in moving heat.
