Ignore reviews that this seat is upside down or defective. Like others, we received it upside down, but with the straps fully extended, you can easily flip it right side up. It's quite obvious that it comes so that it can be placed in a smaller box (can be folded in half). Don't listen to reviews telling you to cut your thongs. This is ridiculous and unnecessary. Simply rotate the seat in the right direction, then tighten the straps as needed. Haven't used it in a kayak yet but my 5 year old claims it's comfortable. I will update the durability rating when I use it. However it seems to be of decent quality and we enjoy using it as his youth kayak didn't have a seat and I can use it or my kayak if I want him to ride with me.
