Review on πŸ—‘οΈ Masahiro Handcrafted Sword Whetstone Sharpening by Jordan Jackson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A very good sentence. Everything you need to sharpen an old knife

I wanted whetstones and found this nice set. With the right grit from start to finish. This was my first time using whetstones and I needed something affordable to learn how to use them, I found some videos and methods and pulled out of the drawer my very boring set of carbon kitchen knives that I had for six years had long neglected. and abusing an inferior do-it-yourself sharpener. Well, after a few hours, all my knives were cutting paper with ease. This saves me money to buy a new knife when I need a sharp one again. Now all I have to do is dip the stones and sharpen the knives. Very happy with this purchase and will probably buy again if needed as all whetstones wear out when sharpening knives. I'm also going to buy a cheap diamond stone that Revain has (a small steel plate soaked in industrial grade diamond dust) so I can use it to remove nicks and create a new edge before using whetstones and keep it from wearing out. I also want to use diamond steel to keep the bars flat between sharpening by shaving down the highest points with a higher grit steel diamond stone. The stones look very well made and are presented in wooden cases that add a bit of elegance. The delivery was fast, the products were packed in a bubble envelope and inside there were two boxes. one for each stone. Inside each box is a wooden box, and inside are stones wrapped in thin foam, firmly attached to the wooden box inside the box. No chips, scratches or other defects.
