I had several different light strips. I usually get rope lanterns. But they're great because they're very thin and taped to wherever they're needed without nailing or screwing the fasteners. The packaging looks neat. At first impression, it seems that I got something economical, but high quality. It reminds me of the days when RadioShack existed. Some of what was there was great back then. I was very surprised when I opened the box and found another whole roll of tape. When I bought these strips in the past, they didn't come with them. It also came with spare connectors and a couple of clips to secure the ends of the straps. These clips come with adhesive. The 4 strips are nicely rolled into spools and come with start and end connectors. This allows them to be connected directly to the control unit or in series. Divide 65.6 feet by four to get 16.4 feet. I'm not sure how the math works unevenly...maybe it's a metric thing...maybe a few inches are missed on the connectors. There are indicators on the strips where they can be cut and optionally soldered to new connectors, at 12V pins G, R, B are marked. The kit doesn't come with spare connectors for splicing this way, and it seems that soldering and using heat shrink tubing (or tape if you're a heathen) will also be needed if going this route. AC) to a 12V power supply (DC). Then the control unit and the remote control. The control unit is interesting in that it has four wires to power all four reels of the LED strip. I suppose it's ok for some use cases, but I'd probably buy a couple of control boxes because I'll be using the strips in different areas. On the control box there are buttons to turn on and off, change the mode and activate the sound activation. !The remote looks complicated but it's really just a color palette at the top with levels of brightness on the right. In the middle/bottom are sleep timer settings and presets for various "exciting" effects. The remote control is infrared (IR) so it needs to be in line of sight of the IR receiver which is the 5th wire coming from the control unit. The application should contain a photo of the easiest ways to connect to the control box, as well as variations of different red, green and blue combinations. One of the great things about RGB is that they can be mixed to create any color... all at once, and they're white. I installed one of the strips in the tea/coffee corner in our kitchen. The kitchen tiles and cabinets are tan, so white or orange/yellow work well. Although I also ran it all night on a matte red night light. In general. nice kit for the price!
