Review on High-Performance Sigma 30mm F1.4 Art Lens πŸ“· for Canon: A Must-Have for Precision and Creative Photography by Seo-jun Jun

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good purchase.

Simply unimaginably amazing lens on a crop camera. Recently, I use only it, the rest stand and nervously smoke on the sidelines. After buying and replenishing the portfolio, shot with this lens - orders fell only on the way (tfp and commerce), sometimes I don’t even have time to sleep :) I took Sigma from a friend to drive and immediately fell in love with the pattern issued by the glass. Of the minuses, I’ll say right away - it smears. It smears strongly at 1.4. Without alignment on my Canon 60d, about 2 shots out of 5 are out of focus. I'm afraid that alignment will not help much, as this is a standard disease of this lens. Now I don’t even see the point of crawling to a full frame.

Pros
  • Aperture. Picture. Boke. Body materials.
Cons
  • Back\front focus. The price, although for a thing of this level is not a pity.

Has some pros 1. Colors. 2. Depth of field! 3. SHOOTING AT NIGHT! - just cool. If you need to shoot beautifully - I shoot only them. Has some cons there is no zoom, but I knew what I was getting into. As the seller said "The best zoom is the legs", every time I remember him)))

Maybe I got a bad copy, but it's a quiet horror. On a good note, it all needs to be sorted out along with the lenses so that it begins to live up to its name "Art". I have a Sigma 17-70mm Contemporary, sharp, perfectly in focus, and this 30mm Art is a headache, which is 1.4 which is 4.0.
