Review on πŸ“ Grizzly H5884 Length Divider 8 Inch: Precision Measuring Tool for Accurate Length Divisions by Nick Kirschenmann

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nice but could use more tidiness.

The dividers came in a plastic bag and were soaked in thick sticky oil to prevent rust. Some of the oil even leaked out of the bag. I had to spend a lot of time cleaning up the mess. To add insult to injury while cleaning that disgusting oil, I cut my thumb with a curved slotted bar used to lock the tuning. I had to spend even more time filing down the sharp edges of the knife (would it kill the maker if they dropped this part out before riveting it to the divider leg?) and open a slightly small slot. Sharp edges on the slit bar, dividers work well enough. I can use them as dividers or add a pencil as a compass. After knurling the barrel of my replacement carbide-tipped marker a bit, I can slip it into a pencil holder to mark circles and arcs on sheet metal without worrying about the points wearing out.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • don't remember but there was something
