Review on Reversible Italian Classic Finish Leather by Matt Sirmons

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The belt may break, a small Phillips screwdriver is required to repair

After a few months of sporadic use (1-3 times a week) the belt buckle came loose. At first I thought it was the hinge screw (used to rotate the buckle 360 degrees) that was broken, but upon inspection it is a screw that has come loose completely. It was very frustrating to find a screwdriver that was small enough and had a long enough neck to fit into the tiny socket. Plus 5 parts (both sides of the buckle, a screw, a spring that goes around the screw that you need to compress, and a screwdriver that you need to push firmly into the screw, and a spring to get the force through the buckle to press (note). It's repairable but requires an eyeglass repair kit and is a PAIN.And if you lose one of those tiny parts when it suddenly falls apart, you're SOL because the company won't replace anything or even refund you anything.

Pros
  • As expected, looks elegant and made of genuine leather.
Cons
  • The two-tone design may not appeal to everyone.
