The best iron brand on the market!

I've been a licensed stylist, Paul Mitchell hair straighteners since I graduated from Cosmetology School (2005). This 2005 iron just died a month ago. An iron that lasts 17 years is unheard of. Take care of your products and they will last a long time. First of all, before buying, I read the reviews and everyone said that this straightener fried their hair. listening to people THIS IS A PROFESSIONAL IRON. This isn't your typical Wal-Mart where you can find Conair, Revlon, or Bed Head. Paul Mitchell makes great products. The hottest setting on this iron is 410° and no one in their right mind should ever set their iron right away. Chances are you will burn your hair. I set mine to 380° the first time but it was still too hot so I reduced it to 360°. Never expect your flat iron to automatically straighten your hair in one go. Depending on the hair type, at least two are usually required. I always smear my hair with Moroccan oil before ironing. It helps to retain moisture, protect it, smooth the hair cuticle and add shine. This iron doesn't look cheap at all to me. And it heats up in seconds. If you want a product that lasts, this is it. My hair is naturally wavy and thin and I run the flat iron through my hair twice on low heat. 😊
