The good first. Carbide burs work well for bass carving, which I do several hours a day. Very smooth with grain; a bit rude in contrast, as one would expect. With walnut wood and especially with hard maple and cherry trees you have to keep the blade moving constantly or you will burn them. This is also expected. One or two weren't as sharp as they should be, but the rest were fine. With the variety of shapes available and the price, there's no harm in throwing one out. I'd give them a five except that the burrs aren't well balanced enough to force the head out of the collet without causing serious vibration at high speed. This is unfortunate as it is impossible to lengthen the drill bit to go deep into hard-to-reach places.
