For a scan of just texts, it can and will do, but then it makes no sense to take new ones, because 1200 is the last century. I bought it in vain, it was easier to repair the old MFP, the scanner is better there. Has some pros: I took a broken MFP to replace the scanner, I did not notice any special advantages. Cons: 1. Third-party scanner programs see it as a scanner with an optical resolution of 1200 dpi, which raises doubts about the declared characteristics! (the MFP saw 4800 optical) 2. Too uncomfortable native soft.
