The Peerless PT660 tilting wall mount has proven itself very well. It's heavy-duty so it can hold up to 100 pounds and comes with plenty of fasteners so you can mount it to almost any wall surface. In my case it was a 50 inch Samsung plasma TV mounted above the fireplace. The mounting bracket was mounted to the drywall, more specifically 2 studs behind the drywall (usually 16" apart) - with 4 large gaps. screws and washers. The mount itself is about 32 inches, so the best you can do is attach it to 2 studs. Once you understand where the mounting bracket goes and aligns it, attach it to the wall. 2nd part that attaches to the TV does not require standoffs for easy assembly - just 4 screws. The hardest part is lifting the TV and placing it on the wall mount. At least 2 people must be available for this. I used 3 people: 2 to lift the TV and 1 to hold the attached cords in place on the mantelpiece. I recommend this product.
