I bought this as a birthday present for my 21 year old daughter. Her birthstone is said to be a June amethyst, but it is listed as moonstone on this site, so I figured that since it's supposed to be authentic, it would be different and beautiful since she doesn't have any moonstone jewelry yet. Well, when it appeared it was so small I had to use glasses to see it properly, and the "real" moon rock looked like pure colored glass. Very disappointed. The silver chain was also very poor quality and I definitely expect it to turn an awkward color after a month. The actual size of the pendant was about half the size shown in the picture which is a shame as my daughter prefers larger pendants with long chains. It's good that I gave her more than one jewelry gift as the others are just as beautiful as advertised.
