Works well Overall

Purchased to go through my front property which has a span of about 200 feet between the two parts of my ring drive. We attached it to my fence just above the knee. None of the included brackets were suitable for our installation, but we modified the attachment method to suit our fence. One thing I was looking for was being able to place one of the receivers (I bought 3 total) in our shed far away from the sensors - it actually works. Overall I'm happy with the alarm setting, except that we had a couple of false alarms when no one was in the drive area. (Update - we've found it's usually a bird or animal - it's been generally reliable.) One thing about the receiver that would be useful - receivers don't have volume controls - can get pretty loud. If you choose the right gong from several options, that's not so bad. Overall, a generally good impression so far. Update date After about 1 year of use we are very satisfied with this alarm clock set. We found it reliable. Solar charging was never an issue and they are in shady areas but always kept charging. There's a faint chirp when you cross the sensor's path, which doesn't make sense as covert silence would be better. Also a small red diode which I think could be sealed with tape. I expect both will tell you the system works when you're outside, but I'd rather have no chirps or LED lights, but overall that's not bad for us. someone is in the driveway. Very happy with this device.

Pros
  • NO WIRES NO BATTERIES TO REPLACE - Sensors are powered by rechargeable solar lithium-ion batteries; no sunlight required, natural light on cloudy and rainy days can also charge the batteries normally; no wiring required (both power and signal wires)
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous
