I bought this toilet cleaning stick because my previous Clorox toilet cleaning pads fell apart as soon as they got into the water. I didn't expect this pad stick to be so effective. I've used Arm and Hammer baking soda toothpaste as a cleanser, although I think any toothpaste will do. I haven't tried liquid dish soap yet as my house has hard water and water deposits are stubborn. What also surprised me was how much faster the bowels emptied with this pad compared to a standard toilet brush and compared to my Clorox brushes. Because the end is "rectangular", this pad is better at removing stains from the bottom of the bowl (where clean water enters the bowl) as well as under the rim. I kept the packaging because it's a good place to keep the napkin when it's in the closet, although the napkin rod comes with a cute hook to hang it next to the toilet. I am very happy with this toilet cleaner.
