I work for an airline so im around the engines of planes all day. When I first tried these on at home I could still hear my husband and children talking normally so I was a bit worried they wouldn't do what they're supposed to while at work. However, they surprised me once I put them on while on the ramps. They dont completely kill all noise but they do dampen it A LOT. I can be right next to a 737's screaming engine and it barely affects me. The only issue I could say I have is the ear cups are a slightly small and kinda scrunch my ear a bit, but even with that, I still would and will recommend them to coworkers and buy another pair.
