Don't be lazy and sit back!

I'm one of those nerds who makes car parts as a hobby and I've used probably every headlight restoration kit on the market as well as some homemade mixes. Like other reviewers, as previously mentioned, there is nothing magical about this or any other product on the market. Your success depends solely on your persistence and ability to grind away the microscopic layer of the headlight housing. If you don't grind each headlight continuously for at least 30-45 minutes, you will be absolutely dissatisfied with the results. Don't be lazy and sit back! Always keep the headlight housing surface wet by constantly spraying water while sanding; alternating green and gray sides of the sanding pad provided. Use strong pressure when sanding. Don't worry, you won't damage the headlights. When you think you've done enough, keep grinding and grinding! I gave this product 4 stars because although it's one of the few that gives you the correct grit size of grinding wheel, it would be nice if the wheel itself came with larger or at least 2 sets of shims. By the end of your sanding adventures, you should have destroyed those sanding pads. If the pads aren't completely useless when you're done, then you haven't done enough! chemistry in general. I do this mainly because the headlights should definitely not be exposed to moisture for at least 24 hours after applying the chemical. Even if morning fog or dew gets on it during curing, slight bumps and defects will appear. If you can't leave the car in the garage or cover it during the curing phase, it's important to plan ahead. Sometimes I just put a garbage bag over the headlights and tape it to the body of the car. see no yellow discoloration in the water. 2) Use strong pressure when grinding. When done correctly, the pad glides smoothly over the surface even with strong pressure. 3) Keep spraying water on the headlights while sanding, or if you prefer, just sand in the rain. 4) If you decide to apply the final chemical step, make sure you do a one-way pass. If you go through the same place twice, there are bumps. 5) First sand down all headlights before you decide to use cleaner. Don't try to do it in stages. Good luck and thanks for looking!
